Their sign-up and onboarding process does not contain a proper survey but still we can get inspired by their direct and basic approach to create a simple sign-up survey.

1. Enter Email

Slack does not ask a list of questions to signup, but they just request the email address you use at work. After that, they send a code to confirm your email address.

They also have an option to use your Google or Apple account to sign up, which is also a standard process.

2. Create a Workspace

After entering your email, to begin using Slack, the first step is to create a workspace.

3. Name of the Workspace

First, Slack asks you to name your workspace. This should be a name that your team will easily recognize and associate with their daily work.

4. Your Name

Next, you will be prompted to enter your name. This helps your teammates recognize you and connect with you more easily.

5. Invite Team Members

Now, Slack optionally asks you to invite your team members to your project.

6. What You Are Working On

Slack allows you to specify what your team is currently working on to better organize channels and conversations.

  • Step 4 of 5: Enter details about the current projects, campaigns, or tasks your team is focusing on (e.g., “Q4 budget, autumn campaign”).

7. Choose Plan

Slack offers different plans to suit various team sizes and needs. You can start with a free plan or opt for a pro plan that offers more features.
